Application #3 - Voice - Single Level
Tree Script
(SVPRO, SVS)Scenario : I am the only person in
the office but I like to have a system that allows the caller to
select the department such as Sales, support etc.
Solution : SuperVoice 1-Level Tree Script will be
your answer. How
do I do that ? After
you installed the SuperVoice software, the default script setting is the
single answering machine script. You have to change the script to Single
Level Tree Script.
Changing to Single Level Tree Script:
- In the SuperVoice Manager, select Setup
from the System menu or click on the Setup button in the toolbar.
- Click on the Select Script button. You
will see the Select Script dialog box.
- In the Select Script dialog box, click
on the Single Level Tree Script selection.
- Click on the Select button. Another
dialog box will appear; it will display the default settings of the
Single Level Tree Script. You can change the script later to fit your
own requirement but for now we just want to keep the default for
testing. Click on Done to finish your setting.
- Click on Done in the Select Script and
Setup SuperVoice dialog boxes. SuperVoice will now operate in a Single
Level Tree script.
Checking your setup:
- Make sure your phone line is connected
to your modem. SuperVoice should be running either in foreground mode
or in minimized mode.
- Call the number from another phone, for
example, your cellular phone.
- You should now see a dialog box popping
up in the lower right hand corner. After three rings (this is our
default, but you can change it to other values if you wish) SuperVoice
will answer the call and you should be able to hear the Single Level
Tree Script greeting. The greeting should be " ". After the
greeting (or in the middle of the greeting) you can press the key to
select your option.
The final steps:
- Now you know how the Single Level Tree
script work and you can proceed to change the selections. Follow the
previous steps described in the previous sections and create your own
Single Level Tree Script.
- If your script requires more than
1 mailbox you have to go to Setup and then Mailbox to add/change
mailboxes..
- Make sure you test your script
thoroughly before you allow other people to call your system.
