Application #4 - Greeting based on Caller ID

Scenario :  I have several important clients and I like to customize my greeting for them when they call. If I am not at the office, I like to be notified when they called.

Solution : SuperVoice 1-Level Tree script and Caller ID features in SuperVoice will be your solution.I need a reliable answering machine

How do I do that ? After you installed the SuperVoice software, the default script setting is the single answering machine script.

Checking the Caller ID:

  1. Make sure the following requirements:
    a. Your telephone service includes the Caller ID service
    b. Your modem supports Caller ID.
    c. The Caller ID feature is enabled in SuperVoice. Please check the help file for details.
  2. Make sure your phone line is connected to your modem. SuperVoice should be running either in foreground mode or in minimized mode.
  3. Call the number from another phone, for example, your cellular phone.
  4. You should now see a dialog box popping up in the lower right hand corner. After the first ring, you should see the CallerID information displayed on the screen.

Setting up the system:

  1. From the SuperVoice Manager, click the Setup button.
  2. Select the System-Mailbox item and click the Select button.
  3. Click the Add button to add a mailbox for one of your customers.
  4. Enter the mailbox number of this particular customer. Click the Done button when finish.
  5. Click on the User Info tab. Enter the telephone number of your customer at the Caller ID field. Click the OK button when finish. For testing purpose, you can enter your own cellular phone number here. After you verify your system is running OK you can change this number to your customer's phone number.
  6. Click on the General tab. Click the Record Greeting button to record your greeting.
  7. Repeat steps 3 to 6 for each customers which you like to have a personalized greeting.
  8. Select the 1-level tree script or multiple-level tree script for SuperVoice.
  9. Your system is setup and you can mow test your system
