Greeting Voice File Garbled

This problem will arise if SuperVoice does not detect the correct modem manufacturer or the voice file you are playing is not compatible to the voice modem you are using.

  1. Re-install SuperVoice.
  2. Use another phone to call in SuperVoice. Can you hear a clear greeting message? If the answer is Yes, then go to step #3. If your answer is No, then go to step #4.

Recording Wave file by using SuperVoice

To record a voice file in SuperVoice thru the soundcard:
Click "Voice".
Click "Record File"
Select a pre-exsisting file or enter a new filename.
Set both Input and Output devices to "Soundcard".

Recording Wave file by using Microsoft SoundRecorder

You can also record thru the Sound Recorder.


Please try recording a wav file in the Windows Sound Recorder.

In Windows click "Start"
Click "Programs"
Click "Accesories"
Click "Multimedia" or "Entertainment"
Click "Sound Recorder"
In Sound Recorder click "Open"
Goto the C:\SUPERVOC\SCRIPTW directory.
Choose any of the wav files.
Record then play the wav file.

NOTE: Make sure that you speakers are connected into the Soundcard.

Check Silence level setting:

Please do the following:

1. Go to Start, Program, Accessory, Communications and Hyperterminal Execute the Hypertrm.exe.

2. Enter any name (e.g. 123) and click OK.

3. In the connect using :. select the COM port your modem is attached to,
e.g. Direct to COM 2, and click OK

4. Click OK at the next dialog box.

5. Now you should see a blank screen. Type ATZ and hit Enter. This will reset your modem. Now you should see the OK response.

6. Type AT+VSD=?
(The modem will display the range of silence values that the modem will accept.) record the lowest value in the range, you will use this number in the supervoice ini file.

7. Close HyperTerminal.

8. Open SV1.ini file which can be found at the installed directory of SuperVoice Pro under DATA sub-directory. Then search for SILENCELEVEL=
You will need to set it to the lowest setting of the range found inHyperTerminal.

9. Save the ini file and restart SuperVoice Pro. This should solve the cutoff problem.


Silence Level

Open supervoc.ini file which can be found at the installed directory of SuperVoice under DATA sub-directory. Then search for [VOICE] section and change SILENCELEVEL to 128, save the ini file and restart SuperVoice. This should solve the message cutoff problem.
