SuperVoice can be integrated with Panasonic PBX. 

Voice Mail Demo

To show how SuperVoice works with the Panasonic PBX, we are using a simple example. An user called John will be connected to extension 11. We also assign John a mailbox #11. An user called Mary will be connected to extension 12. We also assign Mary a mailbox #12. SuperVoice (and the modem) is connected to extension 13 which will be used as a voice mail port. The voice mail port must be an analog port.

The following describes how to use SuperVoice as a Voice Mail system for Panasonic PBX.

  1. Setup Panasonic PBX
    a.  Setup call-forwarding (Procedure #1)
    b.  Set the Extension Group #2 to Station Hunting Type (voice mail) (Procedure #2)
    c.  Set the voice mail port(s) to answer in 3 rings (Procedure #3)
    d  Set the Extension 13 as a voice mail port (Procedure #4)
    e.  Set the message Lamp GETMSG command (Procedure #6)
    f.   Setting the DTMF tones for the Voice Mail Status from Panasonic PBX (Procedure #5)
  2. Testing PBX setup
    a.  Call from Extension 12 to Extension 11
    b.  Extension 11 should be ringing
    c.  Let Extension 11 keep on ringing. After 3 rings it should stop and you should   hear Extension 13 ringing
  3. Setup SuperVoice
    a.  Setup Telephone - Call Transfer
         Type - select Panasonic
         Number of Digits for Mailbox
          - select 2 if you are using 2 digits for your  extension
            select 3 if you are using 3 digits for your extension
    b.  Setup Mailbox
         You have to setup everything for mailbox #0 first then repeat the following
         steps for each mailbox (extension) you have
         * Call Transfer -
            Operation - select one of the operations
            Extension: (Number) - enter 11
            Outside Line Number - enter 9,4412533 (your cellular phone)
            Call Transfer Type - select Panasonic
          *Direct Mailbox Access
            Mailbox Operation - select Talk or Leave Voice Message
    c.  Setup Communication
  4. Demonstrate how a call from an extension can be handled
    a.  Call from Extension 12 to Extension 11
    b.  Extension 11 should be ringing
    c.  Let Extension 11 keep on ringing. After 3 rings it should stop and you should hear Extension 13 ringing
    d.  You can leave a voice mail to Extension 11
    e.  You should see the message Lamp on Extension 11 lit up.
    f.   To retrieve the message from Extension 11, you can press the Message Lamp Button after you pick up the handset or you press the Sp-Phone.
    g.  You should hear Extension 13 ringing.
    h.  You can then hear the voice message left on your mailbox.
  5. Demonstrate how an outside call can be transfer to another outside line (Cellular phone) if no one picks up the call at the PBX extension.
    a.  Setup SuperVoice so it will transfer the call to the extension first, if no one picks up the phone or if the line is busy, it will transfer the call to an Outside Line #2. If no one picks up the Outside   Phone #2 or if the Outside Phone #2 is busy, it will ask the user to leave a voice mail.
    b.  Call from Outside Line #1 to the PBX
    c.  Extension 11 should be ringing
    d.  Let Extension 11 keep on ringing. After 3 rings it should stop and you should hear the Outside Phone. #2 ringing
    e.  Let the Outside Phone #2 ringing,. After about 30 seconds it should stop and you should then hear Extension 13 ringing.
    f.   You can leave a voice mail to Extension 13.

Setup Panasonic PBX Procedures:

1.Forward the calls to voice mail when your extension is busy or you do not answer the call within a pre-determined time.

Setting

    1. Press the SP-PHONE button
    2. Press the FWD/DND button
    3. Dial 5
    4. Dial the voice mail's extension (13)
    5. The FWD/DND indicator light flashes red slowly.
    6. Press the SP-PHONE button

Manual Testing

    1. Set extension 11 to forward the calls
    2. Connect phones to extension 12 and 13 (voice mail).
    3. Use extension 12 to call extension 11
    4. The call will be transfer to extension 13 and you should hear the phone on that extension ringing.

2. Assign Extension Group #2 to Station Hunting Type (voice mail)

Setting

    1. Press SP-PHONE
    2. Dial *#1234 - 1234 is the password
    3. Dial 106
    4. Press SP-PHONE
    5. Dial 2 - extension group number 2
    6. Keep pressing SELECT until you see VM
    7. Press STORE
    8. Press END (HOLD)

3. Set the voice mail port(s) to answer in 3 rings

DIL 1:N Extension and Delayed Ringing

Setting (Repeat the same procedures with 604)

    1. Press SP-PHONE
    2. Dial *#1234 - 1234 is the password
    3. Dial 603
    4. Press NEXT (SP-PHONE)
    5. Dial 3 - Jack number 3 for voice mail port
    6. Press -> or <- for outside lines
    7. Keep pressing SELECT until you see 3 RING
    8. Repeat steps d-g for all CO lines
    9. Press STORE
    10. Press END (HOLD)

Manual Testing

    1. Call from an outside line to CO1
    2. You should hear phones on extension #11 and #12 ringing, phone on extension #13 will be ringing after 3 ring delay.

This command is transmitted to the SuperVoice when the message receiver presses the MESSAGE button

    1. Take the phone off-hook from extension 13 (voice mail port),dial 70111 - set the message lamp of Extension 11 on. You should see the message lamp on extension 11 turns on immediately.
    2. From extension 11, picks up the phone first, then press the Message button.You should hear the phone on extension 13 ringing. Pick up the phone, you should hear one beep, follow by some delay, and then follow by 2 more beeps.(#,,11)
